Mike Jones, famous for his time as Virgil in WWE (formerly WWF), passed away on Wednesday.

The wrestler was in the hospital recently because he had ongoing health problems after being diagnosed with dementia in 2022. He also had two small strokes.

Born on June 13, 1962, Mike Jones was a bodybuilder in the 1980s. During this time, he crossed paths with WWE wrestler Tony Atlas.

Jones trained with Afa of the Wild Samoans and then made his first appearance as Soul Train Jones in the Championship Wrestling Association in 1985.

In 1987, Jones made his first appearance on WWE shows as Virgil, serving as a bodyguard for Ted DiBiase, known as the Million Dollar Man.

Jones left WWE in 1994 before returning to rival organization WCW in 1996.
